Job Description
The Infrastructure Administrator should be a highly focused and motivated individual who will be a key technical administrator on a team that provides innovative technology solutions and services as part of Stryker’s Global IT Organization. Working as part of the Digital Services Team overseeing systems in the around the globe, the Infrastructure Administrator will contribute to the day-to-day management and troubleshooting, of existing configuration of technologies such as Microsoft Windows servers, VMware, Microsoft Azure services and Amazon Web Services. Will report to the IT Digital Services manager and will teamwork with multiple IT towers.
What you will do:
- Infrastructure Maintenance & Monitoring: Oversee the maintenance and monitoring of Microsoft servers, x86 systems, and virtualization infrastructure across global services.
- Operational Processes: Contribute to the development and refinement of operational processes and procedures, ensuring efficient and secure management of the global service infrastructure.
- Tier 2 Support: Act as the Tier 2 escalation point for Azure, AWS, and virtual server issues, collaborating with Tiers 1 and 3 to resolve complex incidents.
- Incident Resolution: Investigate and resolve service incidents, including root cause analysis and appropriate escalation, while following established protocols.
- System Administration: Perform day-to-day operations, administration, maintenance, and upgrades across relevant infrastructure components.
- Reporting & Monitoring: Manage reporting, monitoring, and dashboarding solutions (e.g., DataDog, vCenter) to track auditing, usage, and performance metrics.
- Capacity Management: Monitor and proactively manage capacity to ensure optimal system performance.
- Security & Compliance: Secure environments by adhering to IT SOPs, corporate security policies, change management, and asset management procedures.
- Root cause analysis: provide RCA investigation on major incidents or recurrent events based on Stryker SOP.
What you need:
- 7 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 year of server administration experience including exposure to Microsoft Azure, AWS, windows server, and VMWare concepts.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in technology related discipline and equivalent work experience.
- Preferred certifications in technology including VCP, CCA, MCITP, ITIL, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Datadog Fundamentals certification (or higher).
- UiPath certification (a plus)
- Familiarity with ITSM principles and ServiceNow ITSM.
