Accountant

What you will do:

This role is responsible for managing core accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.

• Perform Account Reconciliation for assigned entities.
• Investigate and resolve unsupported balances.
• Provide support to the business by preparing journal entry calculations and supplying journal and reconciliation backup documentation upon request.
• Escalate any unusual activity or aged items to management which enables a proactive response to potential risks and related losses.
• Financial Statement analysis.
• Perform month end closing process and any request as necessary
• Comply with Corporate accounting policies, US and local GAAP.
• Performs other related work to accounting cycle.

What you need:

Required

• Technical Degree or advanced university student in Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, charts)
• Fluent spoken and written English (B2 level)
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role within a matrixed international company, preferably an American or multinational organization, with complex reporting practices and exposure to multiple reporting systems

Preferred

• Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, or QAD systems
• Experience working in a shared service center within a large or global organization
